I've got a friend at Tenneco
her girlfriend died.

The apricots in Spring
decay on the vine.

There World's a mystery place
with crispy light
and crackling shadows.

And I'm standing
in an echoing hallway,
talking to an echoing hallway.

Neon Illuminating tears
streaming down her face.

On the phone
outside of Plaza Drugs,
she heard the blunt news.
